Impact: Connecticut

Connecticut Connecticut is the fourth most populated jurisdiction in the Northeast and Islands Region, with nearly 600,00 public school students in more than 1,100 schools. REL-NEI is working closely with the Connecticut State Department of Education to provide research support for a broad range of initiatives, including a statewide summit on high school dropout prevention. Recently, REL-NEI has sponsored a statewide conference on improving English literacy for English language learners, facilitated cross-state dialog on district improvement, and provided research scans to support resource development and policy decisions in such areas as early childhood education, teacher certification, and dropout prevention.
