PROGRAM HIGHLIGHTS
Over the past 15 years, Professor Rumberger’s research interests have focused on school dropouts, school mobility, educational underachievement of ethnic and language minority students, and school effectiveness. He is a member of the national panel that wrote the new IES Practice Guide on Dropout Prevention, and in this webinar he will present six research-based recommendations from the Guide for reducing dropout rates and how they can be used to help district and school administrators develop practice and policy alternatives for implementation.

The presentation will be followed by a short panel of local and state education agency discussants commenting on the recommendations and a Q&A session with Professor Rumberger. In this interactive session, participants are encouraged to use an online chatroom to comment and submit questions.
