Reference Desk

The Reference Desk, using available evidence and research, provides quick-turnaround responses to questions submitted by education stakeholders around the Northeast and Islands Region. Every Friday, REL-NEI highlights one or two questions submitted to its Reference Desk.

Reference Desk Digest: 2009 in Review

The Reference Desk was established in April 2008 to respond to stakeholder needs across the Northeast and Islands Region by providing timely research-based responses to education-related questions. To make this valuable information visible to a broader audience, REL-NEI began this weekly digest in July 2009.

Since its inception, the Reference Desk Digest each week has featured different education topics, which come from real questions asked by diverse stakeholders across the region: superintendents and principals; teachers and service providers; parents and students; and state legislators and departments of education.

This week’s entry lists all of the 2009 digest topics by content categories. In 2010, this page will continue to post responses from recent Reference Desk questions, with an emphasis on timely educational topics. If you have a topic you would like to see addressed in this digest, e-mail your suggestion to relneiinfo@edc.org. Please continue to read and enjoy the Reference Desk Digest in the New Year!
